Know Your Rights Training for Asian American Business Owners and Employers in New Jersey

Managing member Mr. Cho will participate in an upcoming Know Your Rights Training for Asian American business owners and employers, a virtual program focused on immigration compliance, workplace rights, and practical guidance for responding to immigration enforcement activity. The training addresses growing concerns among small business owners and entrepreneurs in New Jersey regarding increased immigration enforcement and the legal responsibilities that employers may face during workplace inspections or visits by immigration authorities.

This webinar will provide an overview of key legal issues that affect employers, including how businesses can prepare for potential ICE workplace visits, what employers are legally required to provide during an inspection, and what rights both employers and employees maintain under federal law. Participants will also learn about best practices for maintaining immigration related employment records, responding to government requests for documentation, and protecting the stability of their workforce while remaining compliant with federal immigration regulations. The goal of the session is to help small businesses understand immigration related workplace compliance while also protecting their legal rights.

The program will feature immigration attorneys Minwon Cho, Carolina T. Curbelo, and Reana Garcia, who will discuss immigration enforcement trends, employer preparedness, and legal resources available to the Asian American and Pacific Islander business community. The training is presented in partnership with American Immigration Lawyers Association New Jersey Chapter (AILA), The American Institute of Immigration Law and Policy (AIILP), and AAPI New Jersey as part of a broader effort to provide legal education and immigration rights awareness for businesses and workers.
